I didn't set out to study story.

I became interested in story because of life.

As a nurse, I spent more than two decades caring for people at the thresholds of life.

Birth.

Loss.

Grief.

Healing.

Hope.

I watched people receive the same diagnosis and tell completely different stories about what it meant.

I watched families carry stories across generations.

I witnessed the power of meaning, belief, beauty, and perspective.

And I began to notice something:

People are rarely shaped by events alone.

They are shaped by the stories they carry about those events.

That observation became a lifelong field of study.

Today, my work sits at the intersection of story, health, beauty, creativity, meaning-making, and spiritual formation.

I am endlessly curious about what shapes a life.

And what makes a life beautiful.
